 CHOOSING THE RIGHT WAY 

There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
(Proverbs 16:25)

  • Sometimes we think we are doing what is right, but the consequence is destructive.  
  • Knowing the right way is important.  
I.  REASONS FOR CHOOSING THE WRONG WAY
    A.  Blinded by...
        1.  Sin, Prov. 16:6, 17. 
        2.  Pride, Prov. 16:5,18-19; 25:27
        3.  Selfishness, Prov. 16: 26
        4.  Strifes, Prov.16:28,29;20:3
        5.  Ungodliness, Prov.16:27;17:11
        6. Wrath, Prov.14: 29 

II.  HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT WAY
    A.  Be pure 
        1. You can't clean yourself, Prov. 16:2
        2.  Only God can make you clean, Prov.16:6
        3.  You can be cleansed by the Truth, Psa.119: 9,11;12:5, 28.
        4.   Confess your sins, 1 John 1: 9; Prov. 2:7
    B. Fear the Lord, Prov. 15:33
        1.  Tremble at His word, Isa.66:2
        2.   Do not ignore His words, Prov.1:3, 25-33. 
    C. Be humble, Proverbs 16:19; 21:2-5
        1.  Do not insist your will 
        2.  Seek God's will 
    D.  Seek counsel, Pro. 12:15, 20; `3:10; 8:13; 10:17 
    E. Be loving, Pro.10:12
    F. Pray and Study God's word, Prov. 19:2,8;11:14
    G.  Right motive, Prov. 21:2, 8, 10.
