WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO REJOICE IN THE LORD

Image
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO REJOICE IN THE LORD 12-31-2020 I. IT MEANS TO DELIGHT IN THE LORD, Psalm 37: 4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (Psalms 37:4) A. To delight means to take pleasure.  Oftentimes, we choose to do what brings us pleasure or enjoyment.          a) Satisfying the desires of the flesh, Romans 8: 5.           b) Spiritually dead people live in pleasure.  1 Tim.5:6 B. Sinful pleasures bring bad consequences.           a) Its pleasure is for a season, Heb 11: 25          b) The end is death, Prov 16: 25  C.  There is pleasure in doing God's will.          a) Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Psa. 126: 5-6           b) Your joy may be full, John 15: 11.   D. God's grace enables us to live the new life

Image
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye...

PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE

Image
PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE By E. Jardinel And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (Mark 16:15 KJV) The mid-Acts Dispensationalists ignore this command, believing that this command is for the Jews only. This verse is related to Matthew 28: 18-20 and it is about the Great Commission. In that case, the Mid-Acts Dispensationalists, Grace Gospel church, or Things-to-come Mission has no commission or orders from our Lord Jesus Christ to preach the gospel to all nations. They have no Scriptural basis for going and teaching all nations since they deny this passage. Where do they get their authority to go teach all nations, was it from Paul? Who authorize them to do that, was it Paul? They might claim they were directly called by God and commissioned just like what happened to Paul in Damascus. Many religious founders today are claiming they have a direct revelation from God, making it their justification to start a new rel...

MAKING WISE CHOICES: SACRIFICE BY FAITH OR SATISFACTION OF FEELINGS

Image
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible. (Hebrews 11:25-27) MAKING WISE CHOICES:  SACRIFICE BY FAITH OR SATISFACTION OF FEELINGS We all make choices What do you think are most important decisions in life?  You don't choose your parents but you choose who will be your life time partner.  You don't choose your physical characteristics, but you can choose to be physically healthy, build your body through exercise.   You don't choose to be born in flesh on earth, but you can choose to be born again in spirit to enter heaven.  You may not be born rich but you can choose to strive to be successful person in the course you take.  So if you would cho...
